Finding Your Signature Scents

We not only like to look good but we like to smell good as well. Three of my favorite perfumes from the previous years were Her by Burberry, YSL Mon Paris and Alien Mugler. Her by Burberry was recommended by a friend and also happens to be one of her signature scents. I purchased the 1.6oz priced at $123 during a Sephora sale. The scent is described as fruity and floral, with key notes being: dark berries, jasmine and musk-amber. I think this scent is perfect for spring/summer. I purchased a YSL Mon Paris roller ball (0.34 oz, priced at $34) one day after seeing a few TikToks about the scent. It’s described as fruity florals, with key notes being: datura flower, patchouli and red berries. This is also a good spring/summer scent. Alien Mugler might be my favorite out of the three. I’m not sure what made me buy this one, but I think it had a lot to do with the packaging. I currently have the 3 oz which is priced at $180.00 (also purchased during a Sephora Sale). This scent is described as warm floral, with key notes being: jasmine sambac, cashmeran wood and amber gris. This is the perfect scent for the fall and winter time.

I think I’m at the point where I need new signature scents for this year because those scents remind me of the years that I wore them, (or maybe that’s just an excuse to tell myself to buy new perfume). I stopped by Sephora a few days ago during a sale and of course fell victim to the travel size items that surround the counter. Prior to even going there, I told myself that I needed new perfumes. I saw one of Sephora’s Favorites Perfume Sampler collection and didn’t even think twice. The sampler comes with 8 different sample size perfumes for $25.00. I think this is one of the perfect ways to find what scents work for you before committing to a full-size bottle. I also recommend buying perfumes during sales.

Now let’s get into these scents because when I say they are PERFECT! Every single one of them reminds me of linen sheets, white t-shirts, and minimalism (which is my favorite). The first one that I fell in love with was Nest New York Sunkissed Hibiscus, which is priced at $90 for a 1.7 oz. The scent is described as fresh solar, with key notes being: frangipani, orange blossom and golden amber. Next in no particular order is By Rosie Jane Leila Lou, priced at $75 for a 1.7 oz. This scent is described as fruity floral, with key notes being: pear, jasmine, and freshly cut grass. Then we have Juliette has a gun Vanilla Vibes, priced at $110 for a 1.07 oz and $145 for a 3.4 oz. The scent is described as fresh florals, with key notes being: sea salt, natural vanilla and sandalwood. Next is Floral Street x Van Gogh, priced at $89 for a 1.7 oz. This scent is described as fresh citrus and fruits, with key notes being: bergamot, bellini accord and honey accord. Then we have Giorgio Armani Acqua de Gioia, priced at $98 for a 1.7 oz, $120 for a 3.4 oz. This is described as fresh aquatics, with key notes being: jasmine, gardenia and warm woods. Next in the pack is Phlur Phloria, priced at $96 for a 1.7 oz. this scent is described as classic florals, with key notes being: bergamot, golden gardenia and sandalwood. The next scent is Ellis Brooklyn Sun Fruit, priced at $108 for a 1.7 oz, $155 for a 3.4 oz. This is described as fruity floral, with key notes being: fresh fig, handpicked jasmine and vanilla planifolia. The last sample is from Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk, priced at $85 for a 1 oz, $160 for a 3.4 oz.

I feel like eventually, I'm going to buy every single one of them because that's just how good they smell. What’s your signature scent? Or do you have multiple? Leave them in the comments below!
