Let’s get into my favorite beauty products of October!
In June, while vacationing in Saint Martin, I used Vigorol Olive Oil Mega Moisture Mousse for the first time. I had in a curly flip-over at the time and was trying to blend my leave-out with the hair. The mousse I bought wasn’t doing its job correctly, so my friend insisted I use hers: the Vigorol one. I was shocked at how thick the mousse was and knew this was a product I needed. Fast forward to September, I grabbed that same mousse to set my knotless boho braids. Honestly, it's the best mousse I’ve ever used for braids. Once my hair started to look frizzy, I would put mousse on the top of my head, spread it throughout the braids, and then tie my scarf on. Once I removed the scarf, my braids looked fresh and new.
October is around the time my skin starts changing from glowy and radiant to dry, so I panicked once I ran out of one of my favorite cleansers. I panicked even more once a sales associate at Sephora told me that their location didn't sell that brand in their stores, only online (what?) The store was closing in minutes and I was running up and down the skincare aisle, trying to figure out which cleanser to buy. Then I remembered Youth to the People Superfood Facial Cleanser. I never bought the 8oz bottle, so this was my time to shine. Besides my other favorite cleanser (Kate Somerville), Youth to the People is second up. I love that it’s a gel-lightweight cleanser that is vegan and cruelty-free. I also love the packaging of the bottle. It gets me every time.
I just hopped on the Haus Labs bandwagon, and honestly, I’m never getting off. I’ve been wearing the foundation for the longest, and I’m in love. But today we’re talking about the blush. Again, I was roaming (more like running) through Sephora and the blush stopped me in my tracks. The Haus Labs Color Fuse Talc-Free Blush Powder in the shade Watermelon Bliss is the prettiest blush ever. It’s a hot pink color that blends perfectly into the skin. Also, the packing is so chic, it’s gorgeous.
Marc Jacobs Daisy was one of the first luxury fragrances I owned. I vividly remember how excited I was when I got it. The fragrance reminds me of springtime, which is accurate because floral is its fragrance family. The key notes of this fragrance are strawberry, violet leaves, and jasmine. I think it’s a cute and flirty fragrance. I grabbed an adorable travel size of this fragrance and Daisy Wild Marc Jacobs. I have never smelled this one before, but it’s more of an intense version of Daisy. The fragrance family is still florals, but the key notes in this fragrance are banana blossom, jasmine, and vetiver.
I also finally got my hands on Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm. This is another product that has the girls in a chokehold, and I’ve been trying to get my hands on it for a while. I got the Pink Sugar, a sheer light pink gloss. I will say, this is one of the best glosses I’ve owned, but it’s not something you necessarily need. It does provide great moisture for my lips, and it's not too thick either.
Love all of these! I can’t wait to get another Haus Labd blush.
