DIY Lash Clusters

In December, I tried my first DIY lash cluster set: Veyes Beauty (which you can find on both TikTok shop and Amazon). I was a little nervous because the lash clusters require you to apply the lashes UNDERNEATH, not on top of your lashes as regular strip lashes do. I remember struggling both on and off camera while using the lash clusters. I’m not sure how long it took me to do, but I know it took me some time (it still does kind of). The lashes looked so good and I was shocked at how good they came out. I immediately started to understand why the girls were addicted to lash extensions. To be able to wake up, apply some lip gloss and go? I was HOOKED.

The Higu clase lashes from Amazon were the second lash brand I tried. At the time, these lashes were around $8. The kit had a lash bond and seal, tweezers, and 8 mm-16 mm D curl lashes. I did like these lashes because the band was longer than the Veyes Beauty one, which made them a little easier to apply. What I really liked about the brand was the lash bond and seal. My lashes lasted a good week or two. Unfortunately, this lash kit doesn't come with lash remover, but after about a week, the bond becomes weaker and the lashes become easier to pull off. Once the lashes are off, I use Vaseline or Micellar water to remove the glue.

I posted my first lash cluster map using the Higu clase lash clusters on TikTok as photos and it went viral. A week or two later, I checked Amazon to order the same lashes, and they raised the price to about $2 more! That’s when I knew I found another niche: DIY lash clusters. At that time, I was brainstorming a signature series that people online would remember me by. Yes, I do hair and makeup, but what else? Lash clusters were it.

The more I posted my lash cluster maps, the more questions people asked. People wanted to know which lash clusters were the best, which lash bond was the best, what “stacking” meant, and the difference between C-curl and D-curl lashes. The questions kept coming in, so I created a DIY lash cluster e-book to answer some of the general questions I received about lash clusters. The e-book includes a few of my favorite lash cluster maps, my favorite lash bond and seals, and a few tutorials. I also update the e-book with new lash maps.

I found my new beauty obsession. DIY lash clusters are convenient, painless (if applied correctly), and affordable. They also look EXACTLY like lash extensions but are more than half the price. You really can’t beat that.

I link all of my favorite lash kits in my Amazon storefront. Let me know in the comments if you tried them and what your favorite brands are!
